Ben the Restauranter Back
Classically trained, Ben opened his first establishment The Abbey Restaurant in Penzance where he quickly gained an outstanding reputation for his food, followed shortly by being awarded a Michelin Star which he held for five years until the sale of the business.
Ben was then invited to become part of the launch team for the prestigious Scarlett Hotel in Mawgan Porth. After establishing the kitchen, Ben then held the position of Head Chef. Ben now runs The Tolcarne Inn, Newlyn where he has held a Michelin ‘Bib Gourmand’ since 2013, and restaurant Ben Tunnicliffe at Sennen Cove, also recognised in the Michelin Guide of Great Britain and Ireland 2017.
Ben will be teaching students to cook with species which they may not regularly use at home and will cover advanced fish cookery techniques, flavour combinations, and presentation.
