Cornish Pasty Making Workshop for Schools

If your school is looking for a fun, lively and educational trip away from the classroom, then why not get the children in the kitchen to learn to make their very own Cornish Pasty? Our workshops are held at our contemporary cookery school whose ethos is to teach, inspire and delight. Set next to stables and the village church , the cookery school is located on the Roseland Peninsula, bordered by the Atlantic and the deep creeks of the Fal. It is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We run workshops for up to 40 students, where they make their own pastry, construct their own Cornish pasty, cook and eat it together! They love getting messy with the pastry and there is some healthy competition between students and teachers, as to who made the best looking pasty! Everyone will come away with a new found confidence in the kitchen and it may just inspire the next budding young chef!

The workshop runs for approximately 3 hours and includes a traditional cream tea (scones, jam & clotted cream) and refreshments, private tutor, all ingredients and equipment. This is ideally suited to secondary school children (age 11+)

A few comments from previous schools who have loved the workshops:

“Rupert who runs the cooking school was magnificent with the boys”

“….the team were amazing ……..the experience for the children and the charisma of Rupert the chef was great’”

“….they bent over backwards to accommodate all allergies and really looked after us
