DESCRIPTION:The basics of Mexican cuisine can be traced back to 7000 BCE\, when Mexico and Central America had yet to be colonised. Mexican Cuisine is a nice blend of the indigenous and Spanish cuisine. It is still based in beans\, corn\, tortillas\, and chill peppers\, but these are now usually served with some sort of meat and cheese. Most dishes come with some sort of rice and spices as well\, a clear nod to the European influence. \n\n\n\nJoin us as we teach you everything you need to know about this creative\, flavourful and stunning cuisine. \n\n\n\nMexican food offers a vast array of spices\, techniques\, meats & breads\, during the day your tutor will take you through some of the classic dishes as well as the popular “tex mex” style dishes that we all know and love. \n\n\n\nSo whether you want to spice up your life or bring a little heat into the kitchen this is the course for you. \n\n\n\nCourse Overview \n\n\n\nDuration: 10:00-14:00 \n\n\n\nMaximum student to tutor ratio: 8-1 \n\n\n\nWelcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school\, garden and of course some dark Mexican coffee! \n\n\n\nThe Day: The course talks about the use of Mexican spices and use of chillies.
