On this beginners one day fish course, fish monger Annie Sibert and will teach you the skills and techniques necessary to correctly identify, source and prepare a wide variety of Cornish fish. A step by step beginners guide to fish preparation incorporating fish selection, sustainability, seasonality, filleting (round and flat fish) and some very simple cooking techniques including frying and grilling aimed at giving you the skills and confidence to make fresh Cornish fish a regular feature on your dinner table.

Welcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school and garden. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee and tasty Philleigh Way treat.

The Day: The course includes a mixture of demonstrations and practical hands on sessions designed to give you the skills to become a competent filleter of fish. All equipment, aprons, food and drink is provided including a glass of Prosecco mid-morning and wine with lunch.
