Event & Wedding Catering

We want to help you make the process of organising your wedding or event fun, exciting and stress-free. So tell Philleigh Way owner, Rupert Cooper, exactly what your ideal wedding, event or feast and wedding location would be. With our knowledge, skills, connections, equipment and devoted team we can make your wedding dreams come true.

Our bespoke menus, our adaptability in dealing with challenging wedding locations and our dedication to making our clients happy are at the heart of our formula for success.

Wedding Food

From first thing in the morning, to the main Wedding Breakfast, from midnight party feasts, to the morning after, we can provide your guests with the perfect food to accompany your dream wedding.

For the Wedding Breakfast (this is the main meal after the wedding service, normally held at either lunch or supper time) guests may be sitting at formally laid tables, on hay bales around a fire or feasting on the sand dunes. Whatever style you choose we can supply everything you need, from canapés to hot buffets to traditional plated 3 course menus.

We pride ourselves on our diverse range of food, so whether you want to whole roast an ox as part of the wedding feast, or give your guests an entirely Asian vegan menu, we can do it!

Midnight Feast

If you would like late night refreshments for your partying wedding guests – such as individual plates of Parisian charcuterie, or big and beautiful butties made from homemade bread and choice Cornish smoked back bacon, or an array of street food – we are happy to provide. We have an endless variety to choose from. Even at midnight we can delight and recharge your guests with food and drinks so that you can carry on partying all night long.

Wedding Locations & Logictics

Locations

We know and love the county of Cornwall – and are familiar with many of its best-known (and secret) locations. Rupert has personal knowledge of hundreds of amazing venues across the county, and even further afield in Devon and beyond. Manors and stately homes such as Port Eliot (St Germans), Tredudwell Manor (Fowey), Chy Cara (Carnon Downs), Enys House (Penryn), Penganna Manor (Wadebridge), and for those who would like a more wild or rustic wedding day he has access to some beautifully located fields, beaches and cliff-top locations.

Wedding Equipment

Rupert has a long-standing relationship with Abbotts Hire who offer an extensive variety of wedding items to facilitate your day – such as chairs, tables, napkins, ice-buckets and anything else you may need.

Wedding Bar & Drinks

If you are having a bar then, whatever your wedding theme (medieval, sailing, rustic or whatever), we can tailor the aesthetics to suit that theme, and have fun doing it too. (A cash register is available on hire if you are charging party guests for drinks).

Rupert has extensive experience and contacts in the drinks industry with which to advise and procure you the best wine, spirits, beer and cocktails to suit your wedding guests.

Staff

We can provide quality waiting and bar staff in whatever uniform or attire you wish (within reason!).

Troubleshooting

We are dedicated to your wedding-day success.

Rupert says:

“Come hell or high water we will be there for you. When I heard that the Boardmasters Festival 2019 was cancelled because of the threat from 80mph winds, I phoned the bride whose wedding was scheduled for the next day on the cliffs at Maenporth, because we were due to be catering for her in a marquee! I asked what she thought about the expected gales and she said, ‘Let’s go for it.’ I replied, ‘If you’re in, I’m in!’ So the Philleigh Way team and I did it – cooking the entire wedding breakfast on top of a cliff. It was pretty blustery and the marquee was shifting a bit! But we did the married couple proud and it was a really happy day.”
